AgriRain is a thoughtful initiative to harvest, store and percolate rainwater in agricultural land, gold courses, large gardens, farms in the upper layer of Soil. AgriRain stores millions of liters of water in the soil thereby increases soil moisture, raises ground water table and rejuvenates dug wells in the vicinity.
AgriRain or Agricultural rainwater harvesting is to retain rainwater falling on agriculture land for reuse or recharge applications.
Rainwater in the field can be captured at the low lying area, preferably closer to the resource to further filter it and divert to dug well, pond or recharge bore well.
One acre land will receive approximately 40 Lakh liter in 1000 mm rainfall. Considering 30 % of water, say 12 Lakh liter can go back to our dug wells or shallow aquifer zone.
Prevent the water that is flowing outside the land by making a channel or by raising. Channelize water towards the available resource like lake, dug well or bore well. Depending upon the resource, we can filter and divert water for later usage.
